About CAA Guide
Last reviewed 2026-08-13
CAA Guide is a reference site for people considering a career as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant. It answers the questions that decide an application: where CAAs can legally practice, what each program requires, what the timeline looks like, and what the pay data actually shows.
Independence
The site is independently maintained. It is not affiliated with the AAAA, NCCAA, CAAHEP, ARC-AA, CASAA, or any program, and no program pays for placement or presentation. Where the profession's organizations disagree with each other, both positions are shown and neither is adjudicated.
How it stays accurate
Facts live as versioned data with citations, and the site refuses to publish a claim without a source. Every page shows when its facts were last verified, the changelog records every edit, and the methodology page explains the sourcing rules.
What's next
During the 2026–27 application cycle the site will begin collecting applicant-reported admissions outcomes to build the statistics that don't exist anywhere today, such as real per-program application numbers and admitted-student profiles. Contributors will get first access.
