Program Notes
The inaugural cohort starts January 2027, in collaboration with Baylor Scott & White Health (training at UMHB and BSW facilities); it is Texas's second AA program. CASAA applications for that cohort opened March 10 and close August 1, 2026. The program is not yet accredited: a CAAHEP/ARC-AA initial-accreditation site visit is scheduled, and CASAA lists it as Seeking CAAHEP Accreditation. Prerequisites total 44 credit hours and are due by August 31 before matriculation; A&P I/II may substitute for separate Anatomy and Physiology (no mixing), and repeated prerequisite grades are averaged, not replaced.
