Supervision Requirements
CAAs work under an anesthesiologist through a written supervision agreement, with the supervising anesthesiologist immediately available in the same location or facility to intervene if needed. There is no statutory cap on how many licensed AAs one anesthesiologist may supervise (only a two-student training limit).
